Installing
Which installer do I need?
There is one installer per platform and it is free to download. The same file serves every licence — free, Personal and Premium — so this is the only thing you need to install. The licence you enter when you activate it is what decides which edition you get.
Windows and Mac have separate installers. Both are on the download page.
I have an older version of Murasu Anjal. Do I need to remove it first?
Yes. Remove the older version before installing the new one. On
Windows, uninstall it through the Control Panel. On a Mac, delete
the Murasu Anjal folder from Applications.
Is there a step-by-step guide to installing and activating Murasu Anjal?
Two of them. The user guide covers it in
writing, in section 2 — and the getting-started video on the
downloads page shows the same steps on screen.
Licences
What does the free licence include?
The free licence gives you what everyday Tamil typing needs, and
only that: the keyboards, the input methods and the core fonts.
I have lost my licence key. How do I get it back?
Requests and re-sends are handled inside Murasu Anjal Manager, not
on this site. On the activation form, click Help to have your
key sent again — or to request a free licence. Step 2.3(b) of the
user guide
shows it.
